Kenko Tokina Co. Ltd. (Head office: Tokyo; President: Toru Yamanaka) is pleased to announce the annual International Filter Photo Contest (IFPC) is now taking submissions. One grand prize winner can earn ¥500,000 JPY, approximately $4500 USD.
Prizes Include:
Grand Prix: 1 prize / 500,000 JPY (or U.S. dollar equivalent to 500,000 JPY), Certificate and photo frame of the work
Jury's Special Prize: 5 prizes / 100,000 JPY (or U.S. dollar equivalent to 100,000 JPY), Certificate and photo frame of the work
Kenko Tokina Special Prize: 1 prize / 50,000 JPY (or U.S. dollar equivalent to 50,000 JPY), Certificate and photo frame of the work
Honorable Mention: 30 prizes / Certificate and photo frame of the work.
Themes
Any type or brand of photographic filter which shows its effect is eligible. We do not accept filters such as protectors, UV protectors etc., which create no visible effect in the work. Photos edited with a retouching software, such as color swaps, that contribute significantly to the final work will be disqualified.
