- Description
The Hoya MACRO CLOSE-UP is a lens consisting of a 2-element, 2-group construction, and a +10 diopter rating. This allows the photographer to place the lens closer to the subject and still focus. This allows for super close-ups of insects, flowers and other small objects. The magnification is about 1:2 with a 50mm standard lens (35mm camera), roughly equivalent to a 100mm telephoto lens. The MACRO CLOSE-UP is available in three sizes: 49mm, 52mm, and 55mm.
The Hoya Macro filter is helpful when:
The subject is very small (flowers, insects, jewelry)
Your lens cannot achieve focus at close range to your subject
