About
A Circular Polarizer is the must have filter for every photographer and Hoya’s NXT Plus is a powerful upgrade to the best-selling NXT series. The new filter employs a waterproof top-coat to Hoya’s polished smooth "Clear" glass for easy cleaning. Dirt, smudges and water wipe away easily. Using 10 layers of Hoya’s patented anti-reflection (AR) multi-coatings your images show improved contrast, color and sharpness. The polarizing film is optical thin with a filter factor of 1.72 for faster AF and improved viewing over standard PL films.
Construction
Hoya’s high quality polarized glass is mounted into a precision milled aluminum slim frame, making it lightweight and perfect for your wide-angle lenses. Despite the slim profile the filter includes front filter threads so you can attach additional filters or your protective lens cap.
Why use a Polarizer
Polarizers do one thing: Remove Reflections. Think sunglasses for your lenses. By removing reflections, you reveal the color, texture and detail beneath. So, leaves are greener, skies are bluer, and the beautiful rocks at the bottom of that secret mountain lake are revealed. CRPL’s are also great for removing reflections from car windows, painted surfaces, or just about any non-metallic surface. Depending on the lighting conditions the effect can be dramatic or subtle but it never hurts to pop it on and give it a try.
Circular polarizers are easy to use too. Once attached to your lens simply rotate the outer ring of the filter while looking through your viewfinder or LCD screen until you achieve the right amount of reflection control. When the colors and detail look right, take the picture.

I've used these filters before, and they hold up well, but my last one is +/- 5 years old and was getting a bit scuffed. Nice to have a reliable new filter!
I have used Hoya filters for a long time but this is my first circular polarizer filter. As ordered online and arrived on time. Packaged very well for shipment. Installed and removed several times to ensure I could remove once on for awhile. Came off easily each time. Learning how to get correct angles with sun for it to work as described. Would recommend to others. Purchased 67mm and 72mm filters.
Found filter to be as advertised and have had no issues with two different lenses I put them on. My first circular filters and am still learning how to use accurately. Excellent packing and arrived on time.

The filter factor for this filter is actually 3.25x, not 1.7x. This corresponds to a 1.7 stop loss of light. f-stop light loss is computed from the filter factor; they are not the same. The information in the product description is confusing and misleading.
Good so far Only had it a week and so far so good. Can see a difference in my photos already.
Better than NXT version I have the NXT in a smaller size and it works great but this one is a nice too. I like that it now has multicoatings which the NXT doesn't.
Great results Was shooting with a friend that had one of these filters and her pictures looked way better than mine so I bought one. It really works and I am really happy I have one now when I go shooting. It is crazy how it helps the colors look better.

Pretty good but not the best Got this while on vacation cuase I forgot my filters at home. This is a good filter but I have others I like better. It's will made but I like my B+W brass rings better. If you can afford more buy B+W
Muche better pitcures This is my first polarizer and got it after going to a workshop where I got to test one out. Bought hoya on a recommendation and I am really happy so far. My pictures just look better when I'm using it. Love that I get to dial in the right amount of reflections, really cool.
Does the job Just wanted a good polarizer and not break the bank. Not the cheapest filter but definalty good for the money.
Dirty filter out of box I just got this filter off Ebay and it was dirty in the box. I am pretty sure it was sealed when I got it but a new filter shouldnt need to be cleaned when it's brand new. I was able to clean it myself so I'm keeping it but Hoya needs to check it's QC.

Happy with filter It works well on my Sony lenses. Makes my landscape pictures look better most of the time. But sometimes I cant see that much of a difference.
Big step up from NXT I have the original NXT polarizer but needed a larger size for a new lens. Bought the Plus because it has multi-coatings which the regular NXT does not. It is a very nice upgrade and I can see a slight difference between the two
Absolutely love the effect So Cool to see this work through the viewfinder. My pictures look so much better now. Love this filter.
Hard to clean but great results #1 - the filter gives me great results and I like that it's easy to get on and off my lens #2 - But I put it in my pocket when I was moving spots something got on it and I can't seem to get it off. Now, I'm afraid to use it because it mught hurt my pictures.

Incredible results!! never had a polarizer before and was amazed at what a difference it makes in my landscape shots. This filter is incredible. Don't have anything else to compare to but I'm really happy with my purchase.
Great filter I have had several polarizers over the years and this ranks up there among the best. Thin mount, good glass, and I like that it has multi-coatings at a reasonalbe price. Most of my other polarizers do not and they cost about the same.
Amazing results The filter is just a tool and this one does the job. My final pics would not look as good without it. Worth the investment to get better pictures.
